The Detroit Tigers wrap up series

Moscoso: Takes the plaudits from his Oakland team-mates.
Edwin Encarnacion hit a tie-breaking double in the eighth inning as the Toronto Blue Jays saw off the Boston Red Sox 11-10.

Guillermo Moscoso retired 30 straight, dating back to his last start, to set an Oakland Athletics record before walking Kansas City Royals' Alcides Escobar with two outs in the sixth of a 7-0 rout.

Danny Valencia's two-run single and rookie Chris Parmelee's two-run double helped the Minnesota Twins avoid a sweep with a 5-4 win over the Chicago
Desmond Jennings hit a walk-off homer in the 10th inning to give the Tampa Bay Rays their 1,000th franchise win - 5-4 over Texas.

The Los Angeles Angels took advantage of the Rangers' defeat with a 3-1 defeat of the Seattle Mariners.

Mark Reynolds' hit in the 11th inning enabled the Baltimore Orioles to edge the New York Yankees 5-4.

And 5-4 was also the score as the Pittsburgh Pirates edged the Houston Astros in the National League, with Andrew McCutchen blasting a pair of homers and Jason Jaramillo delivering the winning run with a pinch-hit single.

Lucas Duda hit an RBI double off Florida Marlins starter Brad Hand in the first inning, and that was all the offensive support RA Dickey needed as the New York Mets' knuckleballer hurled seven scoreless innings for his eighth win.
